I think a strong national goverment is a must have. I do not think that states should have equal powers as the national goverment. We have enough problems in our nation while we have a strong national govermment, I feel like if the states were to have equal powers then it would create a lot more problems. I feel like the shift during the Reagan administration was needed I do think that the national goverment should be stronger than states rights but i also believe that states should have some rights. I feel like education should be left up to the local goverments, if you have a certain area where kids need to be taught on a different level then I don't think those kids shou;d suffer because of one education system that the national goverment made everyone do.

I definetly agree that we need a strong national government. I feel like having stronger or equal states would be a cause for civil fighting, that of which we do not need.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the education issue. I think the education should be left up to the state governments. The national government can't possibly know what’s going on in every school in the country so how can they know what’s best for all of them. I think the national government does need to leave certain things up to the state governments
ReplyDeleteI agree to a point about education being in the hands of the state government, but I also think that with the national government being in charge of education the states get more money then they could come up with themselves. There also needs to be a standard for education so if a child moves to another state there will not be on a different level. Just think if a child moves to a state with a higher standard of education then where they lived. The child would be lost and could even be held back. That does nothing for their self esteem when it comes to school and learning.
ReplyDeleteI agree to a point on the education. Some kids do need to be tought on a different level as others. But if schoolscould recieve more funds maybe they could create a class to help the students that need tought on a different level to catch up with others and to teach them better study skills. If they could create a class like this it might help boost students self-esteem and help them to become more successful.
